Justin Huang AIBC, RAIC, AIA is a registered architect in British Columbia, New York and Washington State who strives to create inspiring and empowering architecture, interiors, and design. His work believes in forming constructive, collaborative efforts to bring out the unique potential of each project to the fullest.  His goal is to create inspiring architectural spaces that enrich the people and organizations that it serve, while enhancing the civic and surrounding environment. Through research, refinement and layering, we are passionate about creating unique design solutions, with long-lasting elegance.

Justin Huang has worked internationally with projects in New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Xiamen, and his native city, Vancouver. His experience spans over a decade with projects including cultural institutions, hotels, residential, retail, medical, and civic buildings. His apprenticeships include George Yu Architects / Design Office, Faulknerbrowns Architects, and Bing Thom Architects. In 2006 he joined Skidmore Owings and Merrill in New York, where he became a senior design architect on projects including Baccarat Hotel Manhattan, United Nations New York Expansion, Brazil Faria Lima Theater, New York Public Safety Emergency Center II, and Long Island Jewish Woman’s Hospital. More recently his work in Vancouver has included custom private homes, commercial, industrial and multi-residential projects. He strives to elevate our built environment and the spaces we use everyday to the level of functional, living art through architecture, interiors, sculpture, and landscape design.

 

LUMECRAFT ARCHITECTURE

The office’s work strives to create inspiring architectural spaces that enrich the daily use of the people it serves while enhancing the civic environment. Each design is tailored to individual project parameters and characteristics. The design process starts with understanding the requirements, building regulations, client needs and community concerns. Design ideas are explored through hand sketches, 3d computer software, and physical models. Collaborations with engineers, consultants, and contractors are formed to ensure the right expertise and technical solutions can be executed. The work ranges from architecture, interiors, furniture, art, photography, and event lighting.
